Specially selected for the Cadenhead’s Club, this peated Dalmore 16yo 57.7% was matured in a bourbon barrel. The nose contains notes of sweetened butter and eucalyptus and the dram continues through the taste & finish with hints of salted caramel, dandelion and cayenne pepper.
Dalmore Distillery
The name Dalmore, a combination of Old Norse and Scots Gaelic, translates to “big meadow” as the distillery is named after its location; it sits on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth, overlooking the fields of the Black Isle. The distillery dates back to 1839 when it was established by entrepreneur Alexander Matheson and sold to brothers Andrew & Charles Mackenzie in 1867.
Typically, whisky from Dalmore is sweet with a light spice and this is reflected in this Club bottling. What is less common however, is that this is a peated Dalmore bottling – potentially giving Cadenhead’s Club members the chance to taste something a little different.
Specially selected for the Cadenhead’s Club, this Dalmunach 10yo 58.5% was finished in an Oloroso cask since 2024, instilling an abundance of rich flavours into this Speyside dram.
The nose contains sweet notes with hints of fruit and confectionary and the taste continues this theme with mango, raspberry and sticky toffee pudding. The finish is sugary with slight spice.
Specially selected for the Cadenhead’s Club, this Caol Ila 18yo 57.1% was matured in an Oloroso cask that previously held Springbank, instilling an abundance of rich flavours into this Islay dram.
The nose contains sweet notes but also a hint of meatiness before the taste gives off hints of cranberries, soya sauce and a slight smokiness. The finish has custard cream notes followed by the expected smokey nature.
This Glen Garioch 12yo 56.8% was re-racked into a Pedro Ximénez cask in 2020.
This Highland dram is sweet from the get-go with notes of ginger wine, cranberries and more. The finish has meaty notes accompanied by toasted almonds.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the Cadenhead’s Club, we put together a special edition pack for our Club members to round off the celebrations.
This exclusive release, packaged in a branded gift box, featured 3x20cl single cask bottlings all finished in a different sherry cask.
For the first Cadenhead’s Club bottling of 2024, our team have selected a Burnside 25yo Blended Malt Scotch Whisky.
Distilled in 1998 and aged for 25 years in a single bourbon hogshead, this Burnside is perfectly balanced with an abundance of fruit throughout.
