For the first Cadenhead’s Club bottling of 2024, our team have selected a Burnside 25yo Blended Malt Scotch Whisky.
Burnside, created by William Grant & Sons, is what’s known as a ‘teaspooned’ malt. This means that a tiny amount of whisky from another distillery is mixed with whisky from one distillery, so it can’t be sold as a single malt under any distillery’s name. Distilled in 1998 and aged for 25 years in a single bourbon hogshead, this Burnside is perfectly balanced with an abundance of fruit throughout.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Full of fruit from the get-go, notes of crisp apple, poached pears, tinned fruit cocktail and peaches in syrup welcome you into this dram.
Palate
The fruitiness continues on the palate accompanied by deliciously sweet notes of perfectly ripe fruit, runny golden syrup and fresh apricots.
Finish
A touch of spice grows and develops in the finish, with notes of nutmeg, kiwi skin and brown sugar to round off this dram.
