Oloroso Sherry

Hailing from Springbank Distillery, Longrow is the Campbeltown distillery's heavily peated expression, first created in the 1970's. This 23 year old whisky, bottled at its natural strength, has been fully matured in Oloroso sherry hogsheads. With fresh tobacco leaves and mango on the nose, this dram reveals more as you sip with notes of grilled pineapple, seasalt, campfire smoke and molasses to name a few.

Longrow (Springbank Distillery) Information

One of three whisky expressions from our sister company Springbank Distillery (the others being Springbank and Hazelburn).

A whisky which, in addition to the smokey characteristics you would expect from a peaty dram, also has traditional coastal traits of a Campbeltown whisky, saltiness and oiliness. There is also often a fruitiness associated with Longrow whisky.

Nose:

Rockpools, mango, cigar boxes, fresh tobacco leaves

Flavour:

Peaches, grilled pineapple, seasalt, coffee beans.

Soft campfire smoke, toasted marshmallows, mortadella, molasses.
