Cask Info: originally filled in a refill bourbon hogshead before being re-racked into a fresh PX hogshead in 2019 before a final maturation in a fresh bourbon barrel in 2022.

Our fourth Enigma bottling from this Speyside distillery, this whisky spent the first 16 years maturing in a refill Bourbon hogshead. We then re-racked the cask into fresh PX for 3 years before returning the spirit into a fresh Bourbon cask for a final 3 years to round things off.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Treacle toffee, molasses, Japanese brown sugar, mocha coffee.

Flavour:

Vanilla pods, buckwheat honey, prunes, dates, raspberry.

Finish:

Cranberry, brandy cream, Christmas cake, sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate.
