Oloroso Hogshead since 2020

Specially selected by the team at Cadenhead’s Edinburgh, this whisky was re-racked into an Oloroso hogshead in 2020. The time spent in the Oloroso cask has instilled sweet and fruity notes of apple & bramble crumble, date syrup, cassia bark and rum & raisin ice cream.

Dailuaine Information

Rarely seen as a single malt, which allows independent bottlers to present this spirit to whisky lovers, Dailuaine spirit is heavy and meaty thanks to the long fermentation period, quick distillation and the use of stainless steel in the condensers.

Based in Aberlour in Speyside, Dailuaine was once the largest distillery in the region and, although that's no longer the case today, capacity was increased by 25% in 2012.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Apple & bramble crumble, blackcurrant jam, Madagasan vanilla, date syrup

Flavour:

Oily coating. Rum & raisin ice cream, cassia bark.

Finish:

Angostura bitters, vermouth, blackcurrant, liquorice boiled sweets
