Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Re-racked into an Amontillado hogshead in 2020, this 15 year old dram from Royal Brackla distillery in the Highland region is sweet and fruity with notes of marzipan, poached pear, fig jam and blackcurrant.

Royal Brackla Information

Historically known for its smoky spirit - although that has changed over time - Royal Brackla was founded in 1817 by Captain William Fraser.

This made Fraser deeply unpopular with the moonshiners in the area but his whisky was a great success, gaining a fan in King William IV - the whisky became known by some as "The King's Own Whisky."

These days, the spirit is known for its fresh fruitiness and strong nose.
