Heating its stills with direct fire to give the spirit weight is especially useful given Glenfarclas' commitment to maturation in ex-Sherry casks.

This produces a whisky which is rich, resonant and capable of extremely long ageing.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Thick and buttery, slightly earthy with heathery notes. dried apricots and tangerine segments.

Flavour:

Clotted cream, lemon zest, gooseberries, butter icing, pears, peaches and lemon thyme.

Finish:

Soft spice, caffe latte, chocolate dusting and fennel.
