“The King’s Own Whisky” from Cawdor in Nairnshire. Brackla distillery became Royal Brackla after Captain William Fraser was granted a Royal Warrant in 1835, making Fraser very unpopular with moonshiners in his area. Thankfully, Royal Brackla whisky is liked significantly more than he was, with its rich and fruity nature – notes of blackcurrant, plums, orange jam, lemon and more.

Royal Brackla

Historically known for its smoky spirit - although that has changed over time - Royal Brackla was founded in 1817 by Captain William Fraser.

This made Fraser deeply unpopular with the moonshiners in the area but his whisky was a great success, gaining a fan in King William IV - the whisky became known by some as "The King's Own Whisky."

These days, the spirit is known for its fresh fruitiness and strong nose.
