From a distillery built in 1879 using water from St. Drostan’s Well, named after an early Columban monk, this Speyside whisky from Aberlour, Stathspey, has notes of chocolate on the nose, which reappear in the finish. Slight fruity elements are here too, with a meaty texture that provides depth.
