Nose

Juicy, peaches, mangos and traces of flint and autumnal forests.

Palate

Fruits come through on the taste along with soft oily peaty notes. Fruit syrup, glacier cherries and lime sweets.

Finish

Very oily, with very faint peat smoke, becoming drier and creamier as time goes on.

Distilled at

Bunnahabhain

An imperious and impressive distillery located on the north-east of Islay - the location was decided by William Robertson (of Robertson & Baxter) along with Greenlees Bros back in 1881. This remote location meant that they had to build houses as well, constructing a road and a pier too, so that workers could live nearby and casks & barley could come in with whisky going out.

Production has increased in recent times, leading to investment in the distillery site - including a visitor centre.
