Saffron Infused here in Campbeltown
Our gin has been distilled for us using the same recipe since 1972 and bottled in Campbeltown ever since. It is a floral gin, and it has a faint yellow tint: that is saffron, and it is added post distillation by our team in Campbeltown rather than in the still.
Adding the saffron post distillation helps to keep its complex character intact and finishes off our gin perfectly.
The two gins
Old Raj 46% and Old Raj 55%
Old Raj 46%
Bottled at 46%. Our gin at a more gentle strength, where the floral side and the saffron come through more softly.
Old Raj 55%
Bottled at 55%. The bigger of the two: more intensity, and it packs a punch with tonic or in a cocktail.
