Enigma
Our Unnameable Range
A range of whiskies that arrive with a piece missing. Can you crack the code?
WHY
About Enigma
What's missing, and why
Sometimes a cask is sold on the condition that the distillery’s name stays off the label. This whisky is too good not to bottle, so we created our Enigma collection so these whiskies have a place in our range.
What you do get
Strength, cask type, region, an age or vintage where we are able to give one, and our own tasting notes.
What never changes
No added colouring, no chill-filtration, and it only goes in the bottle if it is good.
ENIGMA
Too Good to Leave in the Warehouse
ENIGMA (noun): something that is mysterious and seems impossible to understand completely.
Every so often a cask turns up that we cannot label the way we would like. The distillery’s name is not ours to print, or the rules will not let us call the whisky what it plainly is.
The whiskies we bottle in our Cadenhead’s Enigma series are just that – unusual, hard to quantify, even slightly contradictory. They can be single casks, vattings of multiple casks, blends, blended malts or whatever else we can find.

Can You Solve the Enigma?
Pour one, taste it, and see how close you get. We will neither confirm nor deny.
