Nose
Rich fruity nose, dried fruits with hints of cinammon and nutmeg.
Palate
Thick and chewy, obvious sherry influence but still with some toffee in the background. Dark chocolate shavings with raspberries and dark cherries.
Finish
Long dry sherry notes with some marzipan and maraschino cherries and gingerbread

Found in Edderton, Ross-shire, Balblair was originally built in 1790 but it was reconstructed just over 100 years later to be closer to the local railway station.
Balblair focuses on producing a new make that prioritises a fruity new make that has developing meaty flavours.
Following its appearance in several scenes in the Ken Loach film The Angels' Share, Balblair opened a visitor centre in its former malting building.
