Calvados HHD since August 2019
Situated just south of Inverness, Tomatin distillery has experienced several ups and downs since opening back in 1897. This bottling from Tomatin has been finished in a Calvados cask since August 2019 which is a favourite cask finish by several of our tasting panel. On the nose, this dram has notes of baked apples and gooseberries followed by a sweet palate of candy floss and shortcrust pastry. On the finish, this Highland whisky has subtle aniseed notes as well as apple crumble and cured meat.

A fruity dram, sometimes tropically so as it ages, Tomatin has been a longtime favourite of some members of the Cadenhead's team (although sometimes choosing our favourite whiskies is like picking a favourite child).
Tomatin has received praise for its wood policy in recent times and their malts have gained popularity, so we are always delighted when we get to share some with our dedicated Cadenhead's fanbase.
