Girvan Distillery allegedly only exists due to the outcome of an odd quarrel about a television commercial, which must be one of more unusual reasons for building a distillery. Regardless of the finer details of that story, we are delighted to have this Lowland Single Grain Scotch Whisky, matured in an Oloroso sherry cask since 2017, as part of this release. Nutty and earthy notes are present here along with a gentle sweetness. A dram that will appeal to many.
