Longtime Cadenhead’s fans will know that we are big fans of Benrinnes so they were delighted to get the chance to bottle this whisky. Apple cider vinegar was the first thing noticed on the nose followed by a softer marshmallow note. This duality continues through the dram with stronger flavours being joyfully balanced with gentler, lighter notes. A complex and alluring whisky that is an excellent addition to this range.

There is no doubt that Benrinnes is a Cadenhead's favourite and it isn't hard to work out why.
Not known for being a single malt (being only occasionally seen as such where it displays a meaty character), which gives independent bottlers the perfect opportunity to showcase this distillery.
The current location of the Benrinnes distillery is actually its second site. The original was built in 1826 by a man named Peter MacKenzie but this was destroyed in a 1829 flood. A new site was then found by John Innes.
